All's Well That Ends

Has Iran proved their point with this?

This is such a get-back, and it's well deserved.

The brilliant thing about Iran is that they don't care what we think about them. They want to act as a sovereign nation, hold power in their region, and appear consistent with their socio-political ideology within their own population.

That leaves us to deal with them not caring, not being influenced, and not bowing to pressure.

I've said this before, and I will surely say it again. But until the US starts to treat other nations with the same respect (and a lack of cultural contempt) that we expect for our preferences, prerogatives and interests, we will NEVER return to the idyll of international cooperation that was the time between the fall of the Soviet Union and 911.

How sweet it was?
